Home Prisoner Skiff Second Skiff Sail Barge

One of the more well known of the Skiff Guards, primarily because his name is part of a reference to the line "Klaatu barada nikto" from The Day the Earth Stood Still. However, his appearance is the film is short and easily missed. Most sources will credit Barada for being the Klatooinian Skiff Guard on the Prisoner Skiff, but that alien is actually Kithaba.

Barada wears an orange bandana, a white, longsleeve, butterfly collar shirt, blue pants and black boots. He also wears a bandolier strap that hangs from his right shoulder to his left side and he carries a black backpack, along with a canteen pouch, on his back.

Screen shots:
Barada is primarily seen in long shots, but his bright colored clothing does make him relatively easy to spot in the group shots:

This is only close up shot of Barada from the film. It lasts about 19 frames, which is less than one second in duration (there are 24 frames per second in your average movie):

The original Klatooinian mask. This mask was reused for Umpass-Stay in the 1997 Return of the Jedi: Special Edition. It was also used for one of Jabba's guards in The Phantom Menace. That's a piece of velcro on his forhead for keeping his bandana in place:

Barada is using the same staff as Queequeg here and you can see a holster on his belt, even though he is never actually shown carrying a blaster-pistol:
